Microsoft is expanding its Surface Hub product line with the new Surface Hub 2S 85”, now available for reservation through Yorktel. The device will be available in January 2021 and promises to “recreate the energy and connection we feel when we’re in a room together.” It leverages an expanded screen and updated OS for more personal, futuristic collaboration among hybrid on-site and remote teams.
The Surface Hub 2S 85” is much bigger than the original Hub 2S, at exactly 85.6” (versus 55”). This allows teams to expand their digital workspace and experience higher-impact meetings in 4K on a crystal-clear screen. It offers more room for simultaneous inking and planning on Microsoft Whiteboard, and it makes it easier for on-site teams to maintain a safe six-foot distance or move about the room while maintaining a clear view of the screen. It’s particularly suited to larger spaces.
The Surface Hub 2S 85” also features the latest Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise configurations. This gives users a PC experience on the Surface, complete with Start menu and taskbar, as well as personal log-in for individual accounts. The device natively runs all Microsoft 365 apps and has security features like modern authentication for Cloud, fingerprint identification, and password-less sign-in with FITO 2 security keys.
