Yorktel was founded by Dr. York Wang, who pioneered early efforts in video conferencing and saw its promise to transform the way people communicate. As an early innovator in the videoconferencing industry, he was responsible for digital video teleconferencing product planning and the systems engineering effort that defined prototype and initial standard products, subsystem interfaces, initial maintenance capabilities and customer network control protocol for Bell Laboratories.
In 1985, Dr. Wang founded York Telecom, and today his vision has grown into a full service organization offering professional videoconferencing and network consulting, operational and integration services to Government and Commercial markets. The company, now Yorktel, has become the leading managed services specialist for video conferencing and unified communications Globally. With offices throughout North America and EMEA, Yorktel makes video work for business and government clients throughout the world.
Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Solid State Physics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and a specialist certificate in Quantum Electronics from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Wang received a patent for his Equalizing Signal Combiner. He has also published several articles in various technical and business publications. In 2000, Dr Wang was named the New Jersey Minority Small Business Person of the Year. In 2009, Dr. Wang was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year®. This award recognized entrepreneurial excellence in the technology category.
Ron Gaboury
Chief Executive Officer
Ron joined Yorktel in 1995 serving as Chief Financial Officer and then President and Chief Operating Officer from 1999 to March of 2011. Under Ron’s management, the Company established a leading position in the videoconferencing market by successfully leveraging its core Federal expertise into commercial markets where it secured some of the largest enterprise customers in the industry. Ron also led the company through several successful acquisitions. In his capacity as CEO of Yorktel, Ron coordinates the company’s corporate development functions, with responsibility for acquisitions, investments and overall business expansion.
Ken Scaturro
President & Chief Operating Officer
As President and COO, Ken drives Yorktel’s mission and vision, inspiring our workforce to craft innovative solutions across lines of business and help our customers achieve their strategic objectives. Before becoming President, Ken served as CRO of Yorktel. His dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction has fueled synergies and growth throughout Yorktel, as well as successful partnerships with other industry leaders. Ken has over 26 years of experience providing high-tech solutions and services to global enterprise clients. Before his role as Yorktel’s CRO, Ken was the VP of Sales for Condeco, which he joined via the acquisition of myVRM, where he served as President.
Judi Pulig
Chief Financial Officer & Executive Vice President, Corporate Services
Judi is responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of Yorktel finance and corporate services including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and Human Resources. Judi supports the President in developing strategy and execution, oversees the coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors particularly in relation to securing new funding.
Jeremy Short
Chief Technology Officer
Jeremy has spent his entire 29 year career in technology from both a business leadership and engineering perspective, with a specialty in high-performance team building. As founder, investor, lead engineer and CEO of multiple tech start-ups, Jeremy has diverse, cross-discipline experience in Collaboration Technologies, IT, AV, IoT and Software Development. Reporting to the President, Jeremy leads the Office of the CTO where he is charged with development of the company’s overall technology strategy, development of market leading products, services, business development and sales strategies.
Jonathan Evershed
Managing Director EMEA
Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant who since qualifying with Ernst and Young has predominantly worked within global technology companies running teams in Europe, America and Asia. Jonathan joined Yorktel in 2013 as SVP Finance with responsibilities on a global and regional level. As Managing Director EMEA, Jonathan is responsible for managing all business operations and providing world-class delivery for all customers in the EMEA region.
Frankie Escribano
Executive Vice President, Operations
As Executive Vice President of Operations. Frankie is responsible for overseeing the design, specification, development, delivery, support and management of integrated multi-media presentation, video conference, digital media and IT network infrastructure systems, Cloud Services and programming solutions.
Frankie has worked in the Integrated AV field for over 20 years and joined Yorktel in June 2004 as Director of Design Engineering and Programming. His broad range of experience in the industry combined with his Software Development skills have enabled Yorktel to develop engineering standards and specialized software applications. He currently holds infoComm CTS, AV Control System and Network certifications, and is also part of the technical advisory council for various manufacturers.
Charlie Booth
Executive Vice President, Global Customer Experience
Charlie Booth leads Yorktel’s Global Customer Experience (CX) and Sales Operations organizations, spanning responsibilities from pre-sales to post installation. Charlie leads a team of services professionals supporting our global customers in the US, Canada, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions. It includes program management, managed services, support services, customer success, and renewal teams who, alongside ecosystem partners, deliver business solutions throughout a customer lifecycle by accelerating time-to-value and return on technology investment. Previously, Charlie led Yorktel’s Public Sector Sales for two years.
Before joining Yorktel, Charlie led the public sector business for Samsung’s Harman Professional subsidiary, led global sales and marketing at two cybersecurity companies, developed international business on Cisco Systems’ Global Public Sector Board and as a co-founder of the Global Government Solutions Group. He served a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy’s submarine force culminating in his service as the Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Navy’s Pentagon headquarters command.
Charlie served on the US Secret Service Electronics Crimes Task Force, the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, the Federal Electronic Commerce Coalition, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Technical Committee, and on the Advisory Board of Blue Spider Analytics.
Charlie earned a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School Graduate School of Business and Public Policy, and an Entrepreneurship Development Program certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Roger Wesenyak
Senior Vice President, Global Contracts
Roger joined Yorktel in 1997 serving as Contracting Officer and has been the Senior Vice President of Global Contracts since 2014. He is responsible for the oversight and management of all Public and Private sector agreements, all contract reporting and overall compliance. Roger has over 30 years’ experience in Information Technology Acquisition having worked previously in Contracting for the US Army and other Department of Defense companies prior to Yorktel. He possesses a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA in Finance from Monmouth University.
