Over the past few years, electronic medical records have changed the way health care practices capture information and interact with patients. Many practices have replaced paper applications and scribbled notes with electronic forms, laptops, tablets and digital dictation devices. As important as this transformation has been and the benefits it promises (e.g. more accurate records, quicker access to information and better patient care), there’s another change coming that’s a much bigger game-changer: telehealth.
