SKIDATA Inc: Videoconferencing aids the bottom line

New Jersey based SKIDATA employees were making monthly trips to the company’s world headquarters in Gartenau, Austria. Airfare, accommodations and associated expenses were making a negative impact on the bottom line. SKIDATA needed a solution that would help eliminate or minimize the cost associated with the trans-continental visits without losing the face-to-face experience of meeting in person. Alaska's Southwest Region School District: Distance Learning in Action

GCI, Inc (General Communication Inc) and York Telecom Corporation partnered to develop, install and maintain the GCI Distance Learning Network. The network encompasses 82 IP-based videoconferencing endpoints and satisfies all of the interactive distance learning needs of the six rural Alaskan school districts, allowing them to provide instruction to multiple geographically diverse schools through managed videoconferencing and other distance learning services.

MedAvante: Videoconferencing creates unique niche in competitive market

MedAvante addresses the pharmaceutical industry’s need to reduce the number of failed mental health clinical drug trials and time to market. By removing psychometric assessments from the hands of the overly subjective, poorly trained raters (e.g. coordinators) at local research sites and centralizing these assessments over video-conferencing in the hands of MedAvante’s expert clinicians, sources of variability and bias are removed. Recognizing the need to be an expert rating company and not a technology company, MedAvante outsourced to York Telecom Corporation all the activities associated with managing, provisioning and servicing the technology hardware, software, applications and connectivity.
